With a view of the harbour of Puerto Rico, a cosy dining room in Mediterranean style and always attentive service, we have been delighting friends of Greek cuisine from all over the world for 20 years. We make sure that we only use high-quality raw materials and serve authentic Greek food. Of course, this also applies to the classic gyros. The Rhodos Palace is probably the only restaurant on Gran Canaria that prepares gyros the way it should be: not from the pan or the oven, but from the spit…crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.

For example, we do not offer the usual prawns from antibiotic-contaminated mass farming, but serve you the somewhat more expensive but drug-free langostinos from wild sea fishing.

Is the 15-minute drive worth it? After all, there are countless other restaurants around us. Well, we would also visit the Rhodes Palace if it were at the other end of the island. The beautiful view of the harbour, the cosy restaurant, the warm, familiar hosts, the waiter who always does a perfect job and of course the delicious food. In general, one thing strikes me: In addition to the “typically touristy” dishes, they also serve food that you don’t usually get in the Canary Islands monotony. The fact that the wine is served at the perfect temperature from the special “vinotheque” is thanks to the hands of Niko, who builds almost everything himself. We had read many reviews about Rhodes and we were not disappointed. This is by far the best Greek restaurant we have ever visited. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was exceptional. The nice thing is that you can tell that the owners and staff really love what they do and take real pride in serving excellent Greek food. We had Pork & Chicken Slovaki (sorry if spelt wrong). Followed by the best Tiramisu and Baklava we have ever had. With the lovely sangria and the price of €62 for 2 adults and 1 child, you really can’t go wrong. The reviews really do this place justice, so if you are visiting Gran Canaria, you must come here. I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world, including Greece, and this restaurant is in my top 10. Highly recommended

We had dinner there with our friends last night for the first time and that in this pandemic time, as we all live and work here, that also has to happen! The hostess is a real hostess in this business, as it should be, The food was freshly prepared, the Tzatziki homemade, the Rhodes plate was delicious whether with rice, chips or baked potato as a side dish, also the dessert Tiramisu homemade and fresh as well as the Crep just delicious! The recommended wine is very good, the price/performance ratio is right for us, as we come from the gastronomy, we can assess it very well and it fits, so that I can recommend it to others with a clear conscience, without ifs and buts. The toilets were very clean! The tables were beautifully set and spaced out. We will definitely go there again for dinner, because we really liked it! a wonderful evening!
